Released in June 2015, A budget phone. Let’s take a look a in depth of the Samsung J7 serialized as J700F, will this phone retain the title of the best Budget phone ..?
The phone cost around 240 US$. The phone looks pretty good itself with 7.5mm thickness and weighs 171 grams. The phone has a Huge super Amoled display of 5.5 inch with 720*1280 screen, which gives us the resolution of 267 PPI and 69.6% screen to body ratio.
The Phone comes in two variant the one is Powered by Quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 & quad-core 1.0 GHz Cortex-A53 and the other being powered by Octa-core 1.5 GHz with the chipset of Adreno 405 or Mali-T720MP2.
Those for the Nerds out there chipset is Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615 or the Exynos 7580. Phone has the RAM of 1.5 GB and 16GB of internal storage which could be expandable.
Camera of 13 MP shooter at the rear and the 5 MP front facing camera which gives us the video recording of 1080p@30fps with the removable battery of 3000mah, it is a dual sim phone with 4G enabled in one sim.
The battery life of the phone was awesome in our drain test the battery gave us the juice of 10-11 hrs of video playback, multitasking and some games. The phone looks stunning ,with the round edge gives a better grip over the phone, the phone being with the 5.5 inch screen it doesn’t looks that big considering my hands. I could easily use it one handed.
The processor and GPU combination is very good, it handles everything with ease, you could throw anything at it, it is going to handle it easily The main feature of this phone is the 13 MP rear camera and 5 MP front facing camera for selfie lovers.
The phone directly competes with Xaimi mi4, Moto G2, Asus Zenfone 2. This camera gives the better edge and proves to be Samsung dominant over the Budget phone category. So the J7 is the good smartphone, with good features and performances, priced at 15k is a good deal considering the price i would have expected at least 2 or 3 GB of ram and 1080p full HD display.
So if you want a huge screen and a good brand, Samsung J7 is good to go, but there are cheaper phones with some better specification made by Xiaomi, Micromax and Asus. The phone will handle most of the games and apps with no lag and the camera performance is also good.
Yes, J7 is definitely a buy a product if you want a good brand with a good specification but if you could compromise in a brand value, there are lot of other phones too…
